A pharmacy professional with a focus on hospital and pediatric care is needed for a night shift position at a children’s hospital. This contract role starts ASAP and lasts for 6 months, with a unique schedule of 7 days on followed by 7 days off. The night shift hours are from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Later in the assignment, around July or August, the position will transition to a day shift to cover a pharmacist on FMLA until January 13, 2027.

• Night shift: 2000 - 0630 (7 days on, 7 days off)
• Transition to day shift mid-assignment

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current Texas pharmacist license
• Experience in pediatric pharmacy is highly preferred
• Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
• Familiarity with Pyxis automated medication dispensing systems

Responsibilities:

• Manage medication dispensing and verification in a pediatric hospital setting
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication use
• Monitor patient medication therapies and provide expert consultation
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems to support pharmacy operations
