Facilities Manager - MGM Grand Detroit

In this crucial role, you will manage the maintenance and operations of the building, supervise engineering staff, and ensure that all work is scheduled and completed efficiently. You will play a key role in executing departmental strategy, ensuring compliance with safety and building codes, and delivering world-class guest service that aligns with our brand standards. The Day-to-Day Execute department strategy consistent with the strategic plan, the fiscal budget, and the company’s short term and long-term profitability objectives Directly supervise all engineering activities and maintenance personnel including performance feedback, setting work priorities and goals, scheduling, hiring, training, promotions, and employee engagement Supervise the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the company’s service standards and brand attributes Ensure compliance with all local and federal health, safety, and building codes and maintain accurate record keeping of department activities and documents Continuously monitor utility costs and consumption and maintain required logs for all utilities Leverage programs to maintain preventative maintenance schedules and procedures and oversee preventative maintenance, cleaning, and repairs/replacement of equipment Provide input and manage levels of inventory and all purchases for parts, tools, equipment, and machinery to property standards The Ideal Candidate High school diploma or GED Two years of prior relevant experience as a manager or related technical education Comprehensive background knowledge and experience in all aspects of facilities operations and maintenance preferred Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends, and holidays The Perks & Benefits Health & Income Protection Benefits (For eligible employees) Various programs and networking opportunities to help you get promoted Access to a variety of company Hotel, Food and Beverage, Retail, and Entertainment Discounts Free access to our employee fitness center Free meals in our employee dining room Free parking Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally Volunteer opportunities to give back to the community #J-18808-Ljbffr
