Accounting Clerk
Pay: $17.00/hour
Location: League City, TX
Temp-to-Hire
Openwork, formerly Meador Staffing, is hiring a friendly and professional Account Clerk in League City! If youre customer-focused, and enjoy helping people,we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:- Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and on time
- Post journal entries and maintain general ledger records
- Assist with premium and policy-related financial transactions
- Verify and reconcile vendor invoices
- Prepare and issue payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers)
- Monitor incoming payments and follow up on outstanding balances
- Reconcile bank statements and internal accounts
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Generate routine accounting reports for management review
- Support audits by gathering required documentation
- Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards
- Maintain confidentiality of financial data
- Follow insurance industry regulations and internal controls
- Provide clerical support to senior accountants and finance staff
- Assist with data entry and system updates
- Communicate with internal departments and external vendors
- 1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical finance experience.
- High School Diploma.
- Associates or Bachelors preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of accounting principals.
- Good organizational and multitasking skills.
- Monday - Friday
- 8:00am - 4:30pm
