The Director will oversee the ADHC program at the Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility ADHC. The Director is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and coordinating all of the adult care facility personal care services including medication management. The Director will oversee a staff including Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse and Certified Nursing Assistants and will ensure the care and well-being of all residents.
Oversees all related operations and provides supervision and leadership to ensure that services provided meet with current best professional practices and adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements. Ensures that persons receiving services are treated with the highest degree of dignity and respect.
Duties will include:
· Identifies health, education, and psycho-social needs of older individuals in the community and develops programs, projects, and activities based on those needs.
· Develops and implements ongoing quality improvement actions, ensuring operational compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.
· Ensures services provided are person-centered around their needs and preferences. Recommends appropriate staffing patters and physical plant needs necessary to meet the needs of the people being served.
· Ensures direct support of staff receiving effective operational supervision and support. Provide effective supervision, leadership, and evaluates departmental and individual performance and productivity while managing resources to ensure efficient and effective operations.
· Responsible for working with the Human Resources Department in the hiring/interview/onboarding process. Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and staffing levels. Trains, coaches, and evaluates assigned staff on performance expectations. Applies progressive discipline when appropriate. Participates in hiring and termination procedures.
· Complete annual and probationary evaluations and required employee job competency documentation.
· Responsible for managing the review and approval of the timekeeping system, including but not limited to, time off requests, and bi-weekly payroll sign-off. Responsible for managing staff meal breaks to be in compliance with NYS labor law.
· Ability to organize and establish day-to-day priorities while using critical thinking skills in all aspects of the job.
