The ideal candidate will possess strong research, writing, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills and be an active member of the bar in the state of the Morgan Lewis office for which they are applying. Engage in a rapidly evolving, technology‑driven landscape to support client needs in biotech, pharmaceutical, and digital health sectors. Qualifications 2–4 years of patent prosecution experience in a computational biology practice. Ph.D. in a computational biology or life sciences discipline. Patent bar membership (USPTO registration number) is required; ability to prepare for, take, and pass the patent bar within 12 months of hire. Excellent academic credentials and strong research, writing, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Compensation and Benefits Salary wage ranges vary by location: CA, IL, MA, WA, and Washington, DC between $235,000 and $310,000. Base salary or hourly wage will be determined during the interview process and may vary based on experience, expertise, business needs, and market factors. The total compensation package may include medical, financial, and other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave). If hired, employees will be in an at‑will position and the firm reserves the right to modify compensation or benefits at any time, including for performance and market factors. For Washington State: The base salary wage range will be determined during the interview process and may vary based on factors such as experience and market conditions. The total compensation package may include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus, and employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan and various health and welfare benefits. Eligible employees may access additional benefits such as Employee Assistance Program, Work/Life Services, and other programs described in applicable plan documents. Paid time off includes holidays, personal days, sick leave, vacation, bereavement leave, parental leave, and pregnancy disability leave where applicable.
