• Licenses/Certifications: Louisiana RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CSFA or CSA certification for sterile processing (preferred)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of OR experience, robotic surgery experience strongly preferred, Neuro-Spine/Neuro-Vascular expertise preferred

What You'll Do

• Provide patient care in the operating room during surgeries, including robotic, neuro, bariatric, urology, transplants, and general procedures
• Circulate and possibly scrub in procedures, following strict sterile techniques
• Assist with anesthesia and supporting surgical teams during complex cases such as craniotomies, aneurysm clippings, and transplants
• Maintain safety and compliance standards, including passing an EKG competency exam prior to start
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Ensure thorough charting and proper use of OR equipment, such as Alaris pumps and Pyxis medication systems
• Support a team-oriented environment with flexible scheduling, including call shifts and holiday work

What You Need

• Required: Louisiana RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS; minimum of 2 years OR experience; robotic surgery proficiency (preferred); strong neuro, transplant, or general surgery experience (preferred)
• Preferred: CSFA or CSA certification, neuro and transplant experience, proficiency with Meditech Expanse EMR, and IV pump use

This assignment involves working in a busy OR with 13 general use operating rooms, handling diverse surgical cases such as robotic surgeries, neuro, bariatric, urological, and transplant procedures.
