Sr. Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $40 to $42 per hour.
Job Responsibilities :- Conduct daily cash reconciliations to ensure all cash transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are promptly addressed.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance financial operations.
- Perform regular reconciliations of accounts, including bank statements, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations, and prepare tax returns.
- Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts, and monitor performance against these benchmarks.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate information is provided.
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of progressive AR accounting experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Dynamics GP) and accounting software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in leading and mentoring junior accounting staff.
- Knowledge of accounting regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
