Sr. Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $40 to $42 per hour.

Job Responsibilities :

• Conduct daily cash reconciliations to ensure all cash transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are promptly addressed.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance financial operations.
• Perform regular reconciliations of accounts, including bank statements, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations, and prepare tax returns.
• Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts, and monitor performance against these benchmarks.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate information is provided.
• Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Qualifications/Experience :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of progressive AR accounting experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Dynamics GP) and accounting software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in leading and mentoring junior accounting staff.
• Knowledge of accounting regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
