The candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic surgical environment. Shift Details Schedule: Saturday & Sunday with rotating Fridays or Mondays Shift Hours: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM for 3x12s Holiday Rotation: Required for upcoming summer holidays On Call: None Job Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments and establish nursing diagnoses. Develop and implement nursing care plans based on patient needs. Assist with surgical procedures in the operating room. Utilize healthcare technology to monitor patient status and communicate with the surgical team. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures. Unit Information Patient Ratios: 1:1 Bed Size: 16 Average Caseload: 35-50 cases per day Turnover Expectations: Less than 20 minutes Surgical Equipment: 3 Da Vinci robots, Stealth technology for neuro navigation Service Lines: Cardiac, Neuro, Orthopedic trauma, Robotics, Gynecology, Urology, General, Pediatrics, Transplants Scrub or Circulate: Preferred experience in both roles Qualifications 24 months of current operating room experience required Experience in circulating and operating room procedures required Scrub experience highly preferred Required experience in General, Da Vinci Robotics, Pediatrics, and Trauma cases Additional experience in Neurology, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Urology, Transplants, Plastics, ENT, and Vascular preferred EPIC electronic medical record experience within the last 3 years required Trauma Level I experience preferred; Trauma Level II experience required Must have completed a travel assignment within the last 15 months Certification Requirements BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) Active Iowa or compact/multistate nursing license required If you are a qualified candidate looking to enhance your career in a challenging and rewarding environment, we encourage you to apply for the Registered Nurse position in the Operating Room.
