About the Job The Physical Therapist is responsible for a combination of clinical and client‑facing worksite support. The Physical Therapist assures that all patients receive high‑quality musculoskeletal care. The role includes carrying out an individualized program of physical therapy that covers assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient’s progress toward achieving functional goals. The Physical Therapist also supports the client at the worksite by providing body mechanics education, ergonomics and safety information, wellness initiatives, and other non‑clinical worksite support, while maintaining a positive working relationship with other health professionals and ancillary staff. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Functions as part of the care continuum and medical team, including physician, PA/NP, occupational therapist, health coach, medical assistant, etc. Administers physical therapy treatments such as therapeutic exercise, therapeutic activities, manual therapies, modalities, and patient education. Develops and executes a goal‑directed treatment program based on thorough assessment results, achieving patient goals and positive outcome measures. Assists with care coordination and ensures patients seek appropriate specialty care and follow up accordingly. May supervise and direct PTAs in accordance with professional guidelines. Tutorials in‑home therapeutic exercises and stretches as part of the treatment plan. Documents patient care services promptly by charting in the patient’s electronic medical record. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection‑control policies and protocols. Maintains and develops professional knowledge by reviewing publications and attending continuing education. Develops physical therapy staff by providing evidence‑based practice resources and conducting in‑service training programs. Provides injury prevention education and worksite assessments as needed. Addresses ergonomic needs of client worksite as applicable. Effectively communicates with the interdisciplinary team in planning and implementing the patient’s plan of care. Attends all Marathon Health center training sessions, including EMR training. Identifies community health needs and strategies to address them. Advises on Marathon Health policy within the evolving healthcare delivery environment. Schedules follow‑up appointments, screenings, and tests for client company employees. Assists in outreach efforts with Marathon Health to target employees at highest risk of chronic disease. Qualifications BS, MS, or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university (CAPTE); current state license; minimum 3 years of experience as a Physical Therapist; current BLS certification; proficiency in electronic medical records documentation; outpatient experience with adolescent and adult populations; ergonomic training or certification is a plus. Comfortable working independently and with limited supervision, across all employee levels. Consistently demonstrates professionalism in communications and relationships with patients, clients, co‑workers, corporate leadership, support staff, employers, prospects, vendors, and carriers. Pay Range $90,000 – $115,000 per year (actual offer may vary with geographic location and candidate experience/skill level).
