Description

• Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate goals and long-range communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy aimed at improving communication, language abilities, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, families, and caregivers to devise harmonized care strategies.
• Provide essential education to patients and families, enhancing their understanding and support during the therapy process.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and treatments, ensuring seamless care throughout the patient's journey.
• Maintain precise and prompt documentation in alignment with state, federal, and organizational criteria.
• Keep abreast of the latest industry advancements by participating in continued education opportunities and professional collaboration.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet achieved.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hiring.
