Description

• Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographic groups through standardized evaluations and observational practices.
• Create bespoke treatment plans centered on immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
• Conduct individualized speech therapy sessions that target communication, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing concerns.
• Collaborate closely with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, family members, and caregivers to devise integrated care plans.
• Educate patients and their families, empowering them to foster progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, guaranteeing uninterrupted support throughout the treatment path.
• Keep detailed and timely records in full compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through educational opportunities and peer collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an approved institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) prior to ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
