Occupational Therapist - Acute Care

Location: Salem Hospital, 890 Oak Street SE, Salem, Oregon 97301 Department: Acute Rehabilitation Position Type: Part Time, 20 hours/week, Exempt Schedule: 7:30 am start time, Monday - Friday Your role with us As an occupational therapist in our Acute Care Rehabilitation team at Salem Health, you will be evaluating and treating patients in a wide variety of specialty areas such as neuro-trauma, orthopedics, neurology, medical/surgical, intensive care and so much more. Be part of our Centers of Excellence, delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients undergoing joint replacement surgery, spine surgery and stroke recovery. What you'll do Conduct evidence-based evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, speech therapists, and care managers. Deliver exceptional patient and family-centered care with a strong emphasis on communication and customer service. Communicate professionally and effectively within the team and across departments. Required qualifications Holds a valid occupational therapy license to practice in the state of Oregon or is license eligible. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire. Additional information Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire. Successful candidates will have clinical experience in the Acute practice setting.
