We are currently seeking an Assistant Superintendent with a passion for commercial construction to join our team in our XXXX regional office. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Superintendent in delivering successful projects through a safe work environment, quality construction, effective LEAN planning & scheduling, cost control, collaboration with project stakeholders, and superior customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a desire for growth, long-term thinking, relationship building skills, and a growing familiarity with the construction industry. Job Overview The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Superintendent in delivering successful projects through a safe work environment, quality construction, effective LEAN planning & scheduling, cost control, collaboration with project stakeholders, and superior customer service. What You Will Do: Support Zero-Injury Program Site and building layout Support built-in quality construction process Understand drawings and specifications Support day to day supervision and coordination of construction activities Expedite building component & materials to maintain schedule Help develop and maintain site logistics plan Perform other duties and responsibilities as required What You Will Bring: 1-3 years of construction experience required (including internships and co-ops) Advanced training in construction management preferred Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Skilled with technology Ability to work non-traditional hours Messer Construction Co. does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
