VACANCY

The Valley View Public School District is seeking individuals to fill ESY teaching positions. Orientation June 1, 2026 Date June 2, 2026 – June 30, 2026 (No classes on June 19th, 2026) Staff Hours 8:30am-12:45pm (PNR); 7:45am-12:00pm (BHS) The ESY program will serve students with moderate to severe disabilities, and will include certified teaching and related-services staff. Staff will attend one in-service for IEP preparation and classroom set-up. Note Number of positions anticipated to be determined by student enrollment. Teachers will be notified as soon as possible regarding the status of their employment for the summer. Teacher assignments are contingent upon student enrollment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicant must hold appropriate Illinois Professional Educator License with LBSI Endorsement Knowledge and experience related to proposed teaching assignment preferred

JOB SUMMARY

The teachers are responsible to the ESY Principal for: planning instructional lessons that meet the needs, interests and abilities of students; creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning; and employing effective instructional techniques.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Teachers will be paid $40.00 per hour. Applicants must work the entire summer session. No vacation times or subs are acceptable.
