Summary Seeking a Leasing Agent who is responsible for assisting the property manager in maintaining all aspects of property operations, focusing on leasing, marketing, resident relations, and community functions. The Leasing Agent strives for 100% occupancy through retention of existing residents, leasing current availability, and pre‑leasing future availability. Responsibilities Interview prospective tenants and record information to ascertain needs and qualifications. Complete lease forms or agreements and collect rental deposits. Handle electronic and manual bookkeeping functions, credit renter accounts for receipts, and debit accounts for disbursements such as upkeep and maintenance costs for assigned property. Request issuance of checks for monies due to residents. Prepare vacancy, occupancy, traffic, reports, and turnover schedules for internal use and external agency compliance. Coordinate moving, inspections, and address tenant issues and related items. Inspect the condition of premises periodically and arrange for necessary maintenance. Assist with eviction of tenants in compliance with court order and supervisor directions. Respond to emergency calls and situations as required. Communicate and interact with residents individually or in groups as needed. Compile listings of available rental property. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Qualifications Experience working with LIHTC, Tax Credit, HUD, and Section8 regulations and forms. Excellent customer service skills.
