Radiation Therapist

The Radiation Therapist with CT experience will provide specialized radiation therapy treatments to oncology patients, utilizing advanced equipment such as Varian 21 EX/iX and Siemens CT scanners. The role involves delivering high-quality patient care, managing a daily caseload of approximately 25 patients, and collaborating with the oncology team to ensure effective treatment plans. Strong technical skills and certification are required to operate radiation therapy machinery and maintain accurate patient records. Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients according to prescribed protocols.
• Operate and maintain Varian 21 EX/iX radiation therapy equipment and Siemens CT scanners.
• Manage a daily caseload of approximately 25 patients efficiently and safely.
• Utilize ARIA software for treatment planning and documentation; EPIC charting preferred.
• Collaborate with oncologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated patient care.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory requirements related to radiation therapy.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient treatment records and reports.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with technological advances and best practices.

• Valid California State Radiation Therapist License.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy (ARRT (T)).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in radiation therapy.
• Proficiency with Varian 21 EX/iX equipment and Siemens CT scanners.
• Experience using ARIA treatment planning software.

• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Additional oncology center experience preferred.

• No on-call or floating between units required.
• Work performed in an oncology center environment.
• Scrubs provided by the facility.
• Parking costs covered by the facility.

• Full-time position with guaranteed 40 hours per week.
• Standard daytime shifts; specific hours determined by the facility.
