SCHEDULE: Premium 1st Shift with flexible start windows | ~45 hours per week average

ROLE BALANCE: 95% hands-on custom fabrication and welding | 5% daily planning, timecard management, and mentorship

EXPERIENCE: 3+ years of professional custom metal fabrication or structural industrial welding experience

EQUIPMENT: Shears, press brakes, plasma torches, structural manual/automatic welding setups, and shop math

Daily Responsibilities

• Construct and alter specialized, valuable custom components, large structural frameworks, and production parts from scratch.
• Utilize a complete array of industrial fabrication machinery, including heavy-duty shears, press brakes, plasma cutters, manual welders, and automated welding equipment.
• Take complete charge of maintaining specialty equipment, fixing intricate structural parts, and aiding in the design and construction of exclusive internal workshop fixtures.
• Undertake specialized equipment linings and refractory work, involving the accurate blending, pouring, and shaping of specific substances during system overhauls.
• Engage in hands-on work on the floor for 95% of the shift, dedicating the remaining 5% to organizing daily workshop operations, evaluating timecards, and offering technical guidance to junior staff members.
• Ensure a secure, orderly, and highly efficient workflow within the fabrication division while strictly complying with quality control standards.

Qualifications

• Over 3 years of proven experience in bespoke metal fabrication, structural welding, or a related industrial field (certification or vocational education is advantageous).
• Demonstrated ability to safely configure and operate shears, press brakes, cutting tools, and standard welding machinery.
• Strong proficiency in reading technical blueprints and basic mathematics (fractions, decimals, shop geometry/algebra).
• Self-driven, target-minded leadership approach with effective communication skills to instruct colleagues and directly engage with managerial personnel.
• Physical ability to stand for prolonged periods in an industrial workspace, bend, crouch, and routinely lift/carry items weighing up to 25 lbs throughout the work shift.
• Proximity to the facility, maintaining permanent residency within a convenient commuting distance of the Waukesha, WI locale.
