Paralegal - Estate Administration

An established firm based in Uniondale, NY with over 50 years in practice is seeking an Estate Administration Paralegal with 3+ years of experience to join their team onsite. This professional will have experience with estate administration, trust administration, probate petitions, administration petitions, accounting petitions, estate and gift tax returns, informal accountings, and receipts and release agreements , while supporting clients through all stages of estate and trust administration.

Offer:

Salary range: $75,000-$90,000+, contingent on experience

Qualifications:

3+ years of estate administration paralegal experience

Experience administering estates and trusts from inception through completion

Proficiency preparing and filing probate, administration, and accounting petitions

Experience preparing and filing estate and gift tax returns

Ability to prepare informal accountings, receipts, and release agreements

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently while managing deadlines and competing priorities

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and client communication skills

Responsibilities:

Administer estates and trusts from inception through completion

Prepare and file probate, administration, and accounting petitions with the appropriate courts

Prepare and file estate and gift tax returns

Draft informal accountings, receipts, and release agreements

Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, courts, and financial institutions

Organize estate and trust documentation and maintain accurate case files

Monitor deadlines and ensure timely completion of required filings

Support attorneys with all phases of estate and trust administration matters
