You accurately document patient financial details, obtain necessary authorizations, and communicate effectively with both patients and branch locations. Your role involves managing tasks efficiently, resolving patient inquiries promptly, and negotiating rates to provide the best possible service. Primary Responsibilities: Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits of prospects/referrals Communicates patient benefits in a timely manner Documents and forwards patient deductible, out-of-pocket expense, life time maximum, home health or hospice days, and patient responsibility to agency in an accurate and timely manner Reviews and replies to branch location's urgent requests in a timely and accurate manner Initiates one time letters of agreement (LOAs) and negotiates rates as dictated by established policies and procedures Obtains and documents all authorization as needed from payer for services ordered/requested in a timely manner Serves as a liaison between the branch location and the payer Resolves all customer requests, inquiries, and concerns in an expedient and respectful manner You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: 1+ years of experience with insurance verification and authorization Preferred Qualifications: Revenue cycle experience Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and analytical skills Basic PC skills including PC based applications (MS Word, Excel) Mathematical aptitude Detail Oriented Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $21.65 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
