Sr Business Analyst - Prior State of TX experience is a MUST

Senior Business Analyst Location: Austin, TX - Hybrid Job Summary Seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to lead requirements elicitation, business process analysis, documentation, and SDLC activities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience translating business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, use cases, wireframes, and process improvements. Key Responsibilities Elicit and analyze business requirements through interviews, workshops, JAD sessions, document analysis, surveys, use cases, and workflow analysis. Analyze business processes, user needs, pain points, and system capabilities to identify opportunities for process and technology improvements. Develop business and functional requirements, user stories, use cases, SRS documents, wireframes, and mockups. Apply business analysis and UX best practices to ensure requirements and deliverables are clear, concise, and actionable. Participate throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and support change control and requirements tracking. Use tools such as Jira and Modern Requirements to manage and communicate requirements. Facilitate meetings and effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Mentor team members on business analysis best practices and methodologies. Required Qualifications 15 years of experience eliciting and documenting system requirements. 15 years of SDLC experience. 10 years of business process re-engineering and process improvement experience. 10 years developing user stories and use cases. 8 years designing wireframes/mockups using UX best practices. strong communication, facilitation, writing, and organizational skills. Experience working with a state/federal/local education agency or education technology vendor. 10 years of Jira experience.
