Tampa, United States Salary $120,000-$150,000/year commensurate with experience City Tampa State/Province Florida Country United States Job Description Position Overview: The Director of Warehouse Operations is responsible for monitoring and implementing the day-to-day operations within the company's distribution center. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert and identify ways to optimize process and workflow to maximize efficiencies and facilitate the company’s growth. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and a customer-focused mindset, be ready to take ownership of multiple projects, prioritize multiple goals simultaneously, be analytical and able to derive actionable insights from data. This position will be highly visible within the company and will require a high level of professionalism and objectivity. This position reports to executive leadership. Status: Full-time, exempt Salary: $120,000-$150,000/year commensurate with experience Primary Responsibilities Identify, define, drive, and lead key actions to the fulfillment and planning process to ensure the highest level of customer experience. Create and lead initiatives to continually improve processes, audit readiness, reporting, and to optimize operational costs through all stages of the fulfillment process. Proactively define Warehouse/Fulfillment KPI’s and opportunities to ensure best-in-class process and infrastructure for the group. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as Commercial, Procurement, Inventory, and Customer Support Teams. Create ad-hoc analysis to react to current and future business trends and present findings to senior management. Assist in the development of all SOP materials, training requirements, and implementation of a training program to ensure the highest level of readiness. Work closely with the Vice President of Logistics & Facilities to ensure proper storage, compliance, safety, and certification is maintained. Coordinate the processing of returned goods, including logging items, communicating with suppliers, and documenting processes. Ensure compliance with training requirements for new employees and manage relevant documentation. Motivate, manage, mentor, and coach warehouse/production team leads and their associates to set and maintain the highest standards of warehouse operations, reviewing performance and providing feedback. Responsible for setting employee work schedules, ensuring all state and federal guidelines are followed, and bringing on temporary labor as needed. Proactively identify areas of risk or opportunity and share plans of action with leadership. Work with leadership to create an organizational hierarchy within the warehouse that supports growth and development of the warehouse associates. Manage and monitor Operations Team in daily tasks of order processing. Maintain records of supplier COIs and other required documentation. Partner with Finance/Accounting and Inventory to ensure accurate data of inventory on hand, expiration dates, and lot codes are maintained. Required Qualifications Ability to take ownership while working in a rapidly changing environment. Demonstrates strong listening and communication skills. Proficient in latest technology for transportation management systems and warehouse management. Ability to document process maps and understand how to implement, monitor, and continuously improve based on identified KPIs. Through understanding shipping/logistics & warehouse management and practical applications to support the company’s goals. Able to lift up to 45+ lbs and spend extended periods of time standing. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Detail oriented with strong problem solving skills. Strong leadership and communication skills. 5-10 years experience managing a warehouse and production area of operation with multiple direct reports. Desired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or Supply Chain. Knowledge of Quality Assurance/FDA Protocol/Project Management/Process Improvement and Implementation. Knowledge of material management and manufacturing methods. Supervision Requirements Up to 5 direct reports with a full team of 25+ Location This position is 100% on site, 5 days a week, in the Tampa, Florida area. Must be willing to commute or re-locate.
