We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing Oil & Gas field services organization in Willow Park, Texas. This AP opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy accounting environment and can manage invoice workflows with accuracy and urgency. The AP Specialist will support payables activity across multiple business units while helping maintain strong vendor relationships and dependable financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Review and enter a large volume of vendor invoices with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation.

• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving details, then investigate and resolve exceptions that delay processing.

• Assign correct account codes to invoices to ensure expenses are recorded appropriately within the accounting system.

• Respond to vendor questions, reconcile statements, and address outstanding balances or payment discrepancies.

• Prepare and process payment batches, including ACH transactions and check runs, in accordance with company deadlines and controls.

• Support month-end closing activities by organizing payable records, verifying open items, and assisting with reporting needs.

• Maintain clean and accurate accounts payable data through consistent review, follow-up, and issue resolution across multiple entities.

• At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable.
• Demonstrated success working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
• Hands-on experience with invoice coding, account coding, and purchase order matching.
• Working knowledge of ACH payments, check processing, and standard accounts payable procedures.
• Strong Excel skills and accurate data entry abilities.
• Clear communication skills with the ability to work effectively with vendors and internal teams.
• Strong attention to detail and solid problem-solving skills.
