We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing oil and gas field services organization in Willow Park, Texas. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and can manage a large volume of payables with accuracy and professionalism. The person in this role will support multiple business units by helping maintain efficient payment operations, strong vendor relationships, and dependable financial records.

Responsibilities:
• Review and enter a high volume of vendor invoices while maintaining accuracy and meeting processing timelines.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts, and investigate differences to ensure proper approval and payment.
• Assign correct account coding to invoices in accordance with company policies and financial controls.
• Respond to vendor questions, reconcile statements, and resolve outstanding account issues in a timely manner.
• Prepare and process payments through ACH and check runs while verifying supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end close by organizing payable records, tracking open items, and supporting account reconciliations.
• Maintain complete and accurate accounts payable documentation across multiple business units and subsidiaries.• At least 2 years of Accounts Payable experience in a detail-focused business environment.
• Proven ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-driven setting.
• Hands-on experience with invoice coding, account coding, and purchase order matching.
• Familiarity with payment processing methods, including ACH transactions and check runs.
• Strong Excel and data entry skills with consistent attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Solid problem-solving abilities and a commitment to accurate financial processing.
