Associate Attorney

After being hired on, the following benefits are offered: Eligibility for performance - based bonuses What You’ll Do: Manage a diverse caseload of litigation matters from initial intake through final resolution, ensuring deadlines, filings, and case objectives are effectively maintained Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and other litigation-related materials Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, conferences, and other appearances as needed Conduct thorough legal research and prepare well‑organized memoranda, case evaluations, and strategic recommendations Communicate regularly and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties involved in legal proceedings Collaborate with partners and fellow attorneys to develop case strategy, assess risks, and determine effective legal approaches Manage case files, track litigation milestones, and ensure compliance with court requirements and procedural deadlines Meet established performance expectations, including a minimum annual billing requirement of 1,800 hours while maintaining high‑quality legal work and client service standards What We’re Looking For: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Active license and good standing to practice law in the State of Ohio 4+ years of legal experience, with a strong background in civil litigation Proven litigation experience, including managing cases, preparing legal documents, and appearing in court proceedings Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and problem‑solving skills Ability to independently manage multiple cases, deadlines, and competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, attorneys, courts, and opposing counsel Detail‑oriented professional with strong organization skills and a commitment to delivering high‑quality legal work About Dawson Dawson is a trusted staffing partner in Central Ohio.
