About the Position

ICU Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3+ years of RN ICU experience License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Experience with a patient ratio of 2:1 - Familiarity with the Epic charting system - Travel experience Description: The position involves working night shifts in the ICU, focusing on critically ill patients. Candidates will provide care for a diverse group of patients primarily with neuro conditions. RNs are expected to be proficient in neuro patient management. Flexibility in floating to different units is required based on the unit's needs. Support will be available for travel nurses who float to other campuses. The job requires adept management of various medical procedures and equipment. Responsibilities include the management of ventilated patients and administration of IV medications. Additional skills should include interpreting arterial blood gases, monitoring neurological status, and providing sedation. A commitment to infection prevention and safety protocols is essential. The nurse will work in an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care. Quality patient care is the priority, focusing on adult and geriatric populations. The expected daily census in this unit is approximately 12 patients. Candidates should submit references from recent employers as part of the application process.
