Job Overview The University of Missouri Office of Admissions is seeking an enthusiastic Senior Student Recruitment Specialist to help us recruit the next generation of Mizzou Tigers. This position will reside in the St. Louis area as one of two regional representatives for Mizzou's Office of Admissions. The position serves as a member of the Admissions Team, managing the assigned recruitment territory to assist in achieving enrollment goals for Mizzou. It provides information about Mizzou and the college planning process to prospective students, parents and high school counselors. Qualified candidates will be passionate about higher education and eager to join a fun and hard-working team. This position requires a home-based office in the St. Louis area and should not be considered an 8-5 job, as it requires nights and weekends on a flexible schedule. Key Responsibilities Independently manage your own recruitment territory, building and executing a dynamic recruitment plan that blends proven tactics with creative outreach tailored to the market, and reviewing and analyzing data to determine fairs and events to attend and schools to visit. Visit high schools, attend college fairs, make travel arrangements and conduct visits as part of a comprehensive recruitment plan. Cultivate strong relationships with high school counselors. Track interactions and analyze data in Slate CRM, adjusting strategy based on successful programs and emerging opportunities. Work with Admissions leadership and marketing to design campaigns that resonate with families. Engage and collaborate with alumni chapters in the market to strengthen recruitment activities and enhance the university's presence. Help plan and host special recruitment events for prospective students within the market; collaborate with faculty, staff, and alumni to coordinate logistics. Inform prospective students and their parents about the University of Missouri's academic programs, requirements, and campus life, including attending on‑ and off‑campus programs. Communicate with prospective students, parents and high school counselors and present to groups ranging from 20‑300 people. Build relationships with prospective students and their families to share the Mizzou experience. Travel to Mizzou's campus for large recruitment events and training sessions, with some additional overnight travel to other parts of the country as required. Attend training sessions to maintain knowledge of current information on degree programs, residential life and financial aid issues. Other duties as assigned. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and possess a valid driver’s license. Schedule 8‑5, Monday‑Friday with extensive weekend hours required. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience. Preferred Qualifications Enthusiastic candidates who work well independently as well as in a team. Experience with presenting. Ability to prioritize and organize multiple work assignments simultaneously. Highly organized, detail‑oriented and adaptable to change. Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and/or CRMs including Slate. Knowledge of the University of Missouri campus and programs. Benefits and Compensation Salary Range: $26.00–$29.00 hourly.
