Your visibility will span morning arrivals and afternoon departures, meaningful evening gatherings, and informal one-on-one exchanges that rarely appear on schedules. What You Will Be Doing

• Take ownership of the relationship with every enrolled family—the evolving, deepening connection that ensures parents feel understood, not simply attended to
• Identify potential concerns before they surface as explicit conversations, addressing them with discretion and interpersonal skill that preserves confidence
• Maintain visible presence during key family touchpoints: morning arrivals (7–9am), afternoon departures (2–4pm), evening parent gatherings, and select weekend engagements
• Create a campus community with authentic character—events, rituals, and interactions that give families a sense of belonging to something they value defending
• Develop parent champions naturally, delivering experiences of such consistent quality that referrals emerge as an inevitable result
• Sustain the ongoing dialogue about Alpha’s AI-driven approach with families managing screen time questions, skeptical relatives, and periodic uncertainty—not only during enrollment but throughout their campus journey
• Recognize when a family does not align with the community and manage that reality with the same care you apply universally—preserving community integrity is a form of service
• Establish the systems and operational rhythms this position demands within an environment where standard protocols are still emerging

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Overseeing enrollment processes—that responsibility belongs to the Admissions Director; your work commences after families join and intensifies from that point forward
• Operating from a desk—your physical presence within the community defines the role
• Maintaining standard 9–5 schedules—early arrivals, late afternoons, and evening commitments are integral to the position, not occasional deviations
• Depending on administrative infrastructure, established protocols, or a complete support team—you function with substantial autonomy and develop necessary structures independently
• Approaching family relationships as transactional engagements—this role values authentic human connection over procedural adherence

Director Of Community Engagement Key Responsibilities

Serve as the central trusted relationship within every family’s Alpha experience. Maintain their confidence through challenging moments, foster a community where belonging feels meaningful, and establish conditions under which satisfied families naturally become active advocates.

Basic Requirements

• Currently live within reasonable commuting proximity to one of these campuses OR prepared to relocate within 60 days (priority given to candidates with established local community ties): Denver, CO; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Tampa, FL; Boston, MA; Bethesda, MD; Charlotte, NC; Las Vegas, NV; Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK; Nashville, TN; Austin, TX; Dallas (Carrollton), TX; Fort Worth, TX; Houston (The Woodlands), TX; Park City, UT; Burlington, VT; Kirkland, WA; or Jackson Hole, WY
• Possess legal authorization for U.S. employment without sponsorship requirements
• 5+ years serving in a relationship-centered capacity with high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth families—such as private school admissions, premium hospitality, philanthropic organizations, or any setting where discretion, warmth, and interpersonal sophistication carried equal weight to technical competence
• Proven capacity to maintain relationships with sophisticated families through difficult circumstances while preserving and strengthening trust
• Authentic presence and communication approach that builds confidence rapidly among affluent, high-expectation families—professional but not artificially polished
• Direct familiarity with independent, private, or alternative education—either professionally or through parenting—that provides credible perspective when families question the educational model
• Authentic conviction in AI-powered education and capacity to sustain that belief genuinely across years of parent interactions, extending far beyond initial enrollment discussions
• Flexibility for non-standard hours: early mornings (7–9am), late afternoons (2–4pm), evening events 2–3 times monthly, and occasional weekend activities

Nice-to-have Requirements

Outstanding candidates will demonstrate at least one of the following:

• Pre-existing connections within the local affluent community providing immediate, organic credibility on campus
• Background in private or independent schools with demonstrated success in family retention and community building—beyond simple enrollment metrics
• History managing sensitive family relationships where your judgment and discretion were foundational to maintaining trust
• Natural ability to design experiences—gatherings, moments, environments—that foster a sense of belonging to something people wish to protect
• Prior startup or early-stage organizational experience requiring you to build from the ground up while remaining composed through rapid change
