Must possess a broad knowledge of complex systems, specialized practices, equipment, and operational procedures.## ## **Licenses/Certifications/Special Requirements:*** ## Valid AZ Driver’s License upon hire depending on area of assignment.## ## **Preferred/Desirable Qualifications:*** ## Previous supervisory experience with full-time and part-time staff.* ## A degree in Parks and Recreation.* ## Previous event management experience.* ## Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally with clients and customers.* ## Experience in a municipal or government setting.**Tell me more.....**The City of Peoria Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a motivated and creative Venue Coordinator to join the team at the Rio Vista Recreation Center, a dynamic and vibrant community hub. This facility offers a wide range of recreational programs and activities for all ages, with a strong focus on fostering a healthy, active, and inclusive environment. The ideal candidate will support daily operations while helping enhance community engagement and program delivery.As a Venue Coordinator at Rio Vista, you will supervise day-to-day operations while planning, coordinating, and implementing a variety of recreational programs and events. You will collaborate with the Recreation Supervisor and team to meet community needs, supervise and train part-time staff, and oversee all fitness components of the recreation center, including instructors.
