Staff AccountantPortsmouth Corporate Financial Services Inc (PCFSI) provides centralized accounting and financial services to a growing portfolio of hospitality properties, including the Opal Collection. We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team.This role offers strong exposure to multi-entity accounting, financial reporting, and audit support, with opportunities for career growth.Work EnvironmentWork arrangement: In-office in Portsmouth, NHSchedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours; additional time may be required during month-end close and audit periodsStaff Accountant Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare accurate and timely monthly financial statementsReconcile general ledger accounts and bank accountsPrepare and post journal entries (including payroll, accruals, and reclasses)Process sales and use tax filingsMaintain and reconcile prepaid and accrued expense schedulesIdentify, research, and resolve account discrepanciesSupport month-end and year-end close processesPrepare schedules and documentation for external auditsGenerate financial, statistical, and operational reportsParticipate in special projects and process improvement initiativesRespond to internal inquiries and resolve issues in a professional, service-oriented mannerStaff Accountant Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related fieldPrior general ledger accounting experience (public accounting or hotel accounting experience a plus)Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliationsProficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStaff Accountant Key AttributesHighly organized, detail-oriented, and efficientStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively across all levels of the organizationHigh level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentialityBenefits401(k)Medical, dental, and vision insuranceShort-term disability and life insuranceEmployee assistance programPaid time offHotel discounts worldwideHow to Apply for the Staff Accountant OpeningPlease submit your resume (and optional cover letter) outlining your experience and interest in the role.Equal Opportunity EmployerOpal Collection/PCFSI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
