Assistant Bookkeeper

Job Description Job Description We are a well-established residential construction company serving the Hamptons and are seeking a detail-oriented, organized Assistant Bookkeeper to join our team. This full-time position will support our Head Bookkeeper in managing the company’s financial records and job costing across multiple residential construction projects. The ideal candidate is dependable, accurate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment. Experience with construction accounting is a plus but not required. Responsibilities Assist the Head Bookkeeper with day-to-day accounting functions Enter and maintain accurate job cost information Process and record financial transactions in a timely manner Reconcile accounts and maintain organized financial records Assist with accounts payable and other bookkeeping duties as needed Prepare reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel Help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data Qualifications Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience required Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and time management abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently Construction industry experience is a plus Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience Two weeks of paid vacation 401(k) retirement plan Health insurance reimbursement program Full-time, stable position with an established residential construction company If you are organized, dependable, and looking to grow your career in bookkeeping with a respected construction company in the Hamptons, we’d love to hear from you.
