Job Responsibilities:

• Preparation of investment account reconciliations

• Analysis of investment results and investigation of variances

• Progression of investment carrying values

• Assist with quarterly impairment reviews of various investments

• Preparation of quarterly fair value analysis

• Preparation of investment schedules and notes in quarterly and annual statutory statements

• Maintain compliance with all Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations

• Support statutory and GAAP exams/audits/reviews

• Support rating agency reporting

• Assist in completing NAIC filings

• Support merger and acquisition activities

• Work with outside TPA's and investment managers

• Work independently with minimal supervision

• Proactive in identifying issues and developing solutions

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Review and Track Daily Common Stock Equity Positions

• Input Daily Trades in custodian account and ensure settlement on time.

• Prepare monthly Pricing for Private and Public Investments where necessary.

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Field of Study: Accounting or Finance, accounting preferred

License or Certification: CPA preferred

Experience:

• 2-4 years of related experience. Previous experience in the insurance industry preferred

• Knowledge of GAAP and NAIC accounting policies and procedures

Scope of Job: Performs work under moderate supervision. Demonstrates technical knowledge with a variety of the field's concepts. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works within specific limits and authority on assignments of moderate technical.
