Position Overview

The Driver Relations Coordinator serves as a key liaison between drivers and management, helping streamline communication, maintain compliance, and support day-to-day operational needs. This role plays an essential part in creating a positive driver experience while ensuring smooth and efficient transportation operations.

What You'll Do as a Driver Relations Coordinator:Driver Support & Communication

• Serve as a trusted resource for drivers regarding policies, procedures, and operational questions.
• Provide timely assistance for driver concerns and help resolve issues professionally.
• Communicate service updates, company announcements, and operational changes.
• Build positive relationships that promote driver engagement and success.

Onboarding & Compliance

• Coordinate new driver onboarding and orientation activities.
• Process employment paperwork and maintain accurate driver records.
• Track licenses, certifications, permits, and required documentation.
• Monitor compliance deadlines and assist with required renewals and updates.
• Ensure driver files remain organized, complete, and audit-ready.

Operational Coordination

• Assist with driver scheduling, route coverage, and availability tracking.
• Support daily operational needs by coordinating with dispatch and leadership teams.
• Help drivers navigate company technology, equipment, and internal systems.
• Partner with management to support performance improvement initiatives and follow-up activities.

Administrative Support

• Maintain databases, reports, and operational records.
• Assist with recruiting administration and candidate processing.
• Coordinate training sessions, meetings, and driver engagement events.
• Support audits, reporting requirements, and special projects.
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications of a Driver Relations Coordinator:Preferred Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education is a plus.
• Previous experience in administration, operations, customer service, transportation, human resources, or a related field preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based software systems.
• Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-service mindset.
