About the role
You will work with business stakeholders and technical teams on full life-cycle application work: gathering and documenting requirements, supporting delivery, and producing management / operational reporting. Engagements are on-site in NYC.
We are filling two related openings. Please indicate which track(s) you match.
Opening A — Business Analyst / IT Project Delivery
Ideal if you have led or strongly supported medium-to-large IT projects end-to-end.
What you'll do
- Elicit, document, and refine business and technical requirements; break work into deliverable user stories/functionality
- Support project planning and execution (scope, timelines, resources, status, quality)
- Analyze current systems and processes; recommend improvements
- Coordinate with stakeholders, developers, and engineers to keep builds on spec and on time
- Produce clear documentation, diagrams, workflows, and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences
- Assist with testing, reporting, and issue triage as needed
What you need (4+ years)
- Hands-on IT project delivery using formal SDLC and business analysis practices (custom web apps and/or configured packaged systems)
- Comfort with government or large-enterprise / legacy environments
- Strong facilitation, written/verbal communication, and stakeholder management (including leadership audiences)
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams under deadlines; solid judgment and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with application/server architecture concepts enough to partner with engineers
Opening B — Business Analyst / Reporting & Analytics (Power BI)
Ideal if you are strong in SQL and Microsoft Power BI reporting.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain business reports, metrics, and ad hoc analysis from reporting databases and warehouses
- Create Power BI datasets, dashboards, and paginated reports; advise on workspace/reporting practices
- Support Finance and operations reporting with clear, accurate metrics
- Assist project execution from start through completion as the reporting SME
What you need (4+ years)
- Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server — SQL and PL/SQL
- Microsoft Power BI, Excel, and VB Script
- Clear communication with business and technical partners
