Qualifications and skills:

Through cooperation with the management team and our executive leadership team, shift leads at Bevco will help create and execute systems that allow the restaurant to operate dynamically in order to adapt to the constantly changing environment found at our high volume all day concept.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Maintaining a culture

• Our managers are expected to be challenging, supportive, and consistent. We believe that establishing and upholding standards throughout our step of service is the key to a rewarding work experience for our staff and an excellent dining experience for our guests.

• Using a systems approach to help staff grow and advance through their hospitality careers is our responsibility. By building systems to manage training and service, managers can focus on developing meaningful relationships with staff and guests which create a web of hospitality felt by all who visit Bevco.

Service

• Ownership of management shifts:
• Preparation of staff for successful shift
• Resolve all issues before guests are affected when possible
• Regulate staff flow
• Provide feedback to the culinary team
• Assist and motivate staff to go above and beyond for guests
• Complete end of shift communications to management team

Training

• Assisting in the trainin of new employees in coordination with the general manager.

Required Skills

• Ability to lift 40+ lbs
• Ability to be on your feet, ascend/descend stairs dozens of times per shift
• Experience working with Toast POS
• Server/bartender/sommelier/specialty coffee experience or desire to learn more about these topics

Preferred Skills

• Staff management & training of 30+ employees
• Excel / Google sheets
