About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established law firm providing comprehensive legal services to individuals and businesses throughout the region. The firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to support its labor and employment practice and handle a variety of litigation and advisory matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned case files and assist with matters from inception through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, regulations, and case law.
• Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Assist with discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Advise clients regarding labor and employment issues, workplace policies, legal risks, and potential strategies.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and advocate for clients during dispute resolution proceedings.
• Develop case strategies under the guidance of senior attorneys.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure matters are handled efficiently and deadlines are met.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with clients.
• Ensure compliance with applicable court rules, professional responsibility requirements, and firm policies.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in, or eligibility for membership in, the California State Bar.
• Experience or demonstrated interest in labor and employment law and related dispute resolution.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply statutes, regulations, and case law.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize deadlines, and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Prior law firm, litigation, or judicial clerkship experience is preferred.
• Experience with employment-related litigation or advisory matters is a plus.
