Home Care Aide (HCA) — Part-Time / PRN

We're hiring Home Care Aides who want work that matters. As an HCA, you help clients stay safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes — and you're the person they count on.

Pleasant Hill, Martinez, Concord, Clayton, and Pinole, plus surrounding Contra Costa communities. We match you with clients close to home to keep your commute short.

• Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral hygiene

• Help with meal planning, preparation, and grocery shopping

• Give medication reminders and monitor client well-being

• Report changes in a client's physical, mental, or emotional condition promptly

• Document accurately and clock in and out using our mobile app

• Follow our infection control, HIPAA, and dress code policies

• Lead with empathy and genuinely enjoy serving others

• Communicate clearly, verbally and in writing

• Show up on time and own your schedule

• Bring patience and warmth to every visit

• Speak a second language (a strong plus)

• High school diploma or GED

• Registered Home Care Aide with the State of California, or willing to register

• Current 2-step TB test, or able to obtain

• Current CPR/First Aid certification, or able to obtain

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred)

• Able to pass a national criminal background check and be bondable

• Satisfactory professional and personal references

• Able to complete SYNERGY HomeCare orientation and assigned online training

• Able to perform light to moderate physical activity, including standing, walking, kneeling, and assisting with repositioning

• $21.00–$23.00/hr base pay, set by experience

• $2.00/hr attendance bonus — complete every agreed-upon shift and earn up to $25.00/hr
