• Performing comprehensive patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and creating tailored care plans for each individual
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions both independently and in collaboration with physicians, as per credentialing
• Providing education to patients and families about prevention strategies, wellness, and ongoing disease management
• Prescribing appropriate medications and therapeutic regimens within your practice scope
• Contributing to patient follow-up initiatives and chronic illness management with dedicated attention
• Working alongside interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care is delivered seamlessly
• Maintaining clear and comprehensive patient records using electronic medical record systems (EMR)

What You Need to Succeed

• A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of a recognized Nurse Practitioner program

Required Credentials

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Virginia
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent
• Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - or the readiness to obtain them within 90 days
