Experience: 0–5 years
Education: BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Role Summary
We are looking for an entry-level to mid-level CAD/DFM Pre-Sales Engineer to support customer engagements, product demonstrations, technical evaluations, and proof-of-concepts for CAD and Design for Manufacturing solutions.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline
- 0–5 years of experience in mechanical design, manufacturing engineering, CAD, application engineering, or technical sales
- Hands-on experience with at least one 3D CAD tool:
- Creo
- SOLIDWORKS
- Siemens NX
- CATIA
- Autodesk Inventor
- Understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles
- Knowledge of mechanical design and manufacturing processes
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T
- Basic understanding of:
- Machining
- Sheet metal
- Injection molding
- Die casting
- Welding
- Assembly
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable presenting technical concepts to customers and internal teams
Preferred
- Experience with DFMPro or other DFM/DFX software
- CAD/PLM/PDM experience
- Internship or project experience involving new product development (NPD)
- Experience conducting CAD design reviews or manufacturability analysis
- Exposure to CAD automation, engineering software, or SaaS products
- Customer-facing, application engineering, technical support, or pre-sales experience
