Job Overview

We are seeking a People Services Specialist to provide day-to-day HR support to employees and People Leaders in a fast-paced, service-focused environment.

This role is part of a centralized People Services/HR Shared Services team and serves as a first point of contact for employee and manager questions related to onboarding, HR policies, payroll, benefits, HR systems, employee records, and other People Team processes.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of HR experience , strong customer service skills, excellent attention to detail, and familiarity with HR systems such as Workday, SAP, HRIS, or ServiceNow .

This is a fully on-site position in Boise, Idaho.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and triage incoming HR service tickets and employee emails.
• Research, resolve, and document employee and manager HR requests.
• Provide day-to-day support for onboarding, HR policies, benefits, payroll, total rewards, HR systems, and other People programs.
• Serve as a knowledgeable first point of contact for common HR questions and processes.
• Maintain accurate employee information across HR systems and tools.
• Ensure HR processes, policies, and procedures are applied consistently.
• Escalate complex or specialized issues to the appropriate HR Center of Excellence or internal team.
• Partner with HR teams to track and resolve escalated employee cases.
• Prepare, collect, and maintain documentation required for new hires.
• Manage the pre-hire process , including initiating background checks and maintaining pre-hire tracking information.
• Maintain accurate and secure electronic and physical employee records.
• Facilitate Day One orientation for new employees in partnership with local leadership and other departments.
• Support a positive and professional new-hire experience.
• Protect confidential employee information and handle sensitive HR matters appropriately.
• Partner with HR leadership, business partners, and Centers of Excellence on employee and organizational needs.
• Support cyclical HR programs, initiatives, and special projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, service delivery, and employee support.
• Attend occasional meetings outside standard business hours when needed to coordinate with teams in other time zones.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, HR operations, HR shared services, employee services, or a related field preferred.
• Working knowledge of HR systems such as HRIS, Workday, SAP, or ServiceNow .
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office , including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong customer service and employee-support skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple requests, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and research skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with HR teams and business partners.
• Willingness and ability to work on-site in Boise, Idaho, five days per week .

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
• Experience with HR Shared Services or People Services .
• Experience managing HR service tickets or case-management systems.
• Experience supporting employee onboarding and pre-hire processes.
• Experience coordinating background checks.
• Experience maintaining employee records and HR data.
• Experience supporting payroll, benefits, total rewards, or other HR functions.
• Experience facilitating new-hire orientation.
• Experience working with Workday, SAP, ServiceNow, or other enterprise HR platforms.

Work Environment

This is a 100% on-site HR position supporting employees and People Leaders from the Boise location.
