Python Software Engineer - HybridGenesis10 is currently seeking a Python Software Engineer - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.As part of an Agile team, the Software Engineer will perform design, coding, debugging, and testing to build sophisticated functionality for the Treasury business. This role demands a high degree of initiative, commitment, and technical excellence to provide innovative solutions in a collaborative manner under tight deadlines. The position requires a strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and a desire to implement continuous delivery and integration.Responsibilities:Perform design, coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development processBuild sophisticated and complex functionality for the Treasury business to be more effective in managing the bank's liquidityWork with business users involving complex requirements gathering and translating them into actionable items for developers, including quick prototypingMaintain high standards and follow best practices by re-factoring existing code to enhance readability, performance, and general structureClearly communicate design, architecture, implementations, and requirementsRequirements:Strong expertise and working experience in PythonKnowledge of computer science data structures and algorithmsKnowledge of ORM libraries like SQLAlchemyExperience in databases (relational/document/etc) including NoSQL databasesExperience building distributed and scalable complex services, Restful services, and robust microservicesExperience with web services development and REST interfaces in PythonExperience with Analytic reporting tools like TableauAnalytical skills to perform technical and functional analysis with strong communication skillsDesired skills:Experience working in regulatory projects is strongly desirableExperience working in ContainersExperience in CI/CD, Jenkins, GitExperience working on high-volume applicationsExperience working in Agile teamsKnowledge of Liquidity Reports like Fed5g, LCR, NSFR, CRD IV etc is a plusPay range: $55.07 - $63.07 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
