What You Will Be Doing Facilitating one‑hour life‑skills workshops for K‑8 groups covering public speaking, focus, feedback exchange, and other foundational competencies. Modify the existing framework and create new sessions when you identify a need. Conducting daily individual and small‑group motivation sessions that drive every student toward their weekly app targets, leveraging Coachbot analytics, Alpha's motivational systems (school currency, leaderboards), and your personal connection with each student to overcome resistance. Delivering the Test2Pass (Alpha's mastery assessment) for each life skill, and providing ongoing coaching to students until they achieve mastery. Adjusting your coaching approach across a broad age spectrum, from kindergarteners requiring high energy and physical activity to eighth graders needing direct communication and accountability. Analyzing weekly cohort performance data in Coachbot, pinpointing students falling behind, and modifying your coaching tactics for the upcoming week based on data insights. What You Won’t Be Doing Delivering whiteboard lectures; academic content is embedded in the applications, not your instruction. Creating an entire curriculum without guidance; you begin with an established framework and enhance it with your unique energy and communication style. Passively monitoring students at workstations; motivation in this role is dynamic, individualized, and persistent. Working through administrative approval processes to secure support for struggling students; you decide and implement immediately when a student requires additional coaching. Evaluating homework, conducting standardized test preparation, or handling parent correspondence; Campus Leads manage parent communication, and these tasks do not exist in this model. Student Success Coach Key Responsibilities Drive every student in your K‑8 cohort to achieve their weekly learning targets, master every life skill, and conclude the year expressing that they valued their experience with you. Basic Requirements Available to work on‑site at an Alpha campus in one of the listed locations; relocation support is provided. Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Minimum 3 years of direct experience working with K‑8 students (teaching, coaching, tutoring, camp counseling, or youth program management). Concrete example of motivating a K‑8 student toward a challenging objective, including the objective, your specific actions, and the result. Comfort allowing AI to deliver instructional content while you concentrate on motivation and life‑skills development. Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship. Nice‑to‑have Requirements Background in youth sports coaching, debate, camp leadership, theater, or after‑school programming with direct responsibility for motivating children toward defined objectives. Demonstrated history of personal excellence (academic, athletic, or professional) indicating that maintaining high standards for others reflects your natural approach, not an adopted stance. Communication and presentation skills capable of engaging a room of 12‑year‑olds for an hour without relying on volume. Proven ability to transform unengaged or resistant students into active, motivated participants.
