The New York Empire (Ultimate Frisbee Association) is hiring a Director of Business Development to lead all non-ticket revenue generation: corporate sponsorships, group sales, and camps/clinics. This is a hybrid role — regular office days plus hands-on presence on game days to support partner activation, group hospitality, and in-game sponsor visibility. This is a builder role for someone who wants to grow a professional sports revenue operation largely from scratch, with direct ownership over pipeline, pricing, and partner relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, pitch, and close local and regional corporate sponsorship partners; manage renewals
• Sell group sales/hospitality packages to businesses, schools, and community organizations
• Design and sell youth/adult camps and clinics; coordinate scheduling and staffing with coaching staff
• Build repeatable sales processes and simple pipeline/revenue reporting for ownership
• Represent the Empire at community and business events to build the partner network

Requirements:

• 3+ years in sponsorship, corporate partnerships, or group sales, ideally in sports or events
• Proven track record of cold outreach and closing deals, not just managing inbound leads
• Comfortable working lean and building programs with limited existing infrastructure
• Strong written and verbal communication; confident presenting to business owners and decision-makers

Preferred:

• Existing network of local businesses or sponsors in the New York area
• Experience running youth sports camps/clinics

This is a hybrid job with offices in New Rochelle, NY and White Plains, NY. Compensation based on experience plus performance bonus/commission tied to revenue generation.
