Senior Financial Planning Analyst

As a key member of the finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting strategic decision-making through data-driven analysis and financial insights. Key Responsibilities: Lead financial planning and analysis for solar projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning. Partner with development, operations, and executive teams to evaluate financial performance and optimize investment strategies. Create and maintain complex financial models for project portfolios, corporate forecasts, and new market evaluations. Perform variance and sensitivity analyses to support business planning and drive operational efficiency. Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports for internal leadership and external investors. Support capital allocation strategies by analysing returns, project economics, and funding requirements. Monitor industry trends, policy developments, and market dynamics to inform financial planning assumptions. Contribute to building scalable FP&A processes and tools as the organization grows. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, corporate finance, or related roles - ideally within energy, infrastructure, or project-based sectors. Strong modelling and analytical skills; advanced Excel proficiency required, with experience in financial forecasting and scenario planning. Demonstrated understanding of renewable energy finance; exposure to utility or community solar is highly preferred. Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field required; MBA or CFA is a plus. Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities. Sounds like you?
