Financial Planning Analyst II

Overview As a Financial Planning Analyst II at Bachem, you will play a pivotal role in financial management and planning. You will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. Your responsibilities include collaborating closely with business partners to provide financial insights, support major investment projects, and facilitate decision‑making. You will interface with the Director of Controlling, executives, project team members, cross‑functional business partners, and the Controlling team. A deep understanding of how this function impacts the financial statements is essential. What you will do Serve as Finance Business Partner for assigned areas Capex Investment planning and controlling—monitoring and controlling project progress regarding schedule, resources, and costs of the assigned investment projects and providing regular updates on project status for key stakeholders, including executives and project team members Prepare financial analyses, KPIs, reports, and presentations for assigned areas: monitoring spending, labor tracking, and production scrap; total non‑quality cost associated with producing and fixing defective products or services; productivity, cycle counts, inventory Serve as point of contact for all financial matters in the assigned areas Regularly conduct cost and variance analyses, including initiating corrective actions Reporting and creating ad‑hoc analyses for the business Serve as liaison for labor time tracking application(s) Qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance or related field 4+ years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment 4+ years of applying GAAP principles, concepts and practices; developing and monitoring project budgets, creating regular cash forecasts and ensuring financial compliance Strong proficiency with IT solutions, including Excel Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to function well in a team environment Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint (SAP preferred) Ability to effectively organize, multitask, and work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment Ability to communicate proactively and solution‑focused, keeping management aware of potential issues Detail‑oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical and analytical problems Ability to work independently and manage one's time Base Annual Salary Range $72,652 – $99,896 Total Rewards We offer all Team Members a total rewards package including competitive pay, annual performance bonus, a generous benefit package with comprehensive Medical/Dental/Vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with employer contribution, and paid vacation, personal, and sick days.
