About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead the launch and growth of a new chapter of a nationally recognized professional youth mentorship model. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction, inspiring philanthropic investment, and expanding the organization's presence as a trusted and influential partner in the community. This role involves building and leading a high-performing team, fostering a culture of engagement and support, and ensuring the organization's mission is effectively delivered. The Executive Director will also be the primary ambassador, cultivating relationships with donors, community leaders, and the families served, and will be expected to have a strong background in fundraising, with a focus on securing major gifts and diversifying revenue streams. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and at least 10 years' of executive leadership experience in a nonprofit or related environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, a deep commitment to the mission of empowering youth, and the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships. Strategic thinking, cultural competence, and exceptional communication skills are essential. The role requires a passionate advocate for children and families, with the ability to lead with humility, and a collaborative approach to partnership with the national team and peer leadership. The Executive Director will be expected to ensure the organization's financial sustainability, monitor its performance, and make necessary adjustments to achieve long-term goals.
