Billing Clerk

Overview Pay: $21.00 - $23.50 per hour Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM This position is responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate billing records, supporting payroll-related documentation, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have prior billing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Process daily billing transactions and related documentation. Generate and distribute invoices accurately and in a timely manner. Review billing records and resolve discrepancies. Assist customers with billing inquiries and provide professional customer service. Support payroll-related processes by reviewing and balancing settlement documentation. Maintain organized records, invoices, and supporting documents. Prepare invoices, tickets, and freight bills for mailing and electronic distribution. Email invoices and billing documents to customers on a weekly basis. Ensure compliance with company procedures and maintain accurate reporting. Work collaboratively with team members to meet billing and reporting deadlines. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. 1 to 3 years of billing experience required. Experience within transportation, logistics, freight, or a similar industry is highly preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving and customer service abilities. Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude.
