Senior Research Statistician - Exploratory Analysis (Hybrid)

AbbVie seeks a Senior Research Statistician to provide statistical support for drug discovery and development, focusing on biomarker exploration and precision medicine. The role involves designing and analyzing multi-dimensional biomarker studies across discovery through late-stage clinical trials to support objective decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with biomarker scientists and clinicians on design, analysis, and reporting of biomarker studies
- Contribute to biomarker section development of clinical trial protocols and analysis plans
- Perform statistical analyses for pharmacodynamic, safety, and prognostic biomarker identification
- Identify biomarker signatures from omics and imaging data for target identification and patient stratification
- Ensure data quality and scientific soundness of study results; communicate statistical concepts to non-statisticians
Requirements
- MS with 4+ years experience or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related field
- Research experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
- Machine learning experience
- Strong technical competence and oral/written communication skills
- Experience with biomarker research (preferred)
- Familiarity with high-dimensional data integration and overfitting control methods
- Knowledge of predictive modeling and cross-validation techniques
