The Role Talent Sourcers play a key role in our clients’ success by partnering with Hiring Managers and Recruiters and developing effective, consultative, professional relationships with them. Through asking the right questions to ensure a detailed understanding of the client and each role, and by leveraging data, historic hiring trends, and market analysis, Talent Sourcers develop bespoke sourcing strategies and then use a range of tools and techniques to find the best talent in the market. Talent Sourcers are brand ambassadors for our clients, bringing each opportunity to life with candidates in a compelling and authentic way to ensure they are qualified, interested, and engaged before being presented to the Hiring Manager. A Principal Sourcing Specialist is a true subject matter expert in recruitment and sourcing and will confidently partner with senior stakeholders to understand even the most complex hiring needs, developing sourcing strategies which focus on finding and engaging passive talent across specialist disciplines. Hybrid / Contract Details Hybrid role if based in Cleveland, OH working 1 day onsite per week from AMS office. Remote if based in Texas, Georgia, Florida, Ohio, New York City. 6‑month contract with possibility of extension based on performance. Key Accountabilities Act as a trusted adviser, working with recruiters to develop partnerships and deliver a great candidate and hiring manager experience, leading recruitment discussions and delivering high‑quality sourcing strategies. Partner with experts in sourcing and talent intelligence to develop effective sourcing strategies, using talent intelligence to influence client stakeholders and hiring outcomes. Show tact and confidence when communicating with client stakeholders, leveraging knowledge and the AMS network to propose solutions that deliver the right results. Be accountable for delivering high‑quality, engaged candidate shortlists to Hiring Managers, making clear recommendations and introducing candidates of interest. Work with recruiters and hiring managers to share candidate feedback, challenges and successes, advocating solutions and making recommendations to refine recruitment strategy. Attract, source and engage high‑calibre talent through innovative, critical thinking and continuous professional development. Review and post compelling, accurate job adverts that amplify the client’s brand and attract candidates. Use knowledge and established network at AMS to develop sourcing strategies across the right channels (LinkedIn, other social media tools), adopting a search mentality for hard‑to‑fill specialist roles. Utilise data to measure success of sourcing strategies, refining and adapting approaches as required. Engage the target audience professionally via email, LinkedIn, social media and phone; headhunt niche talent on a regular basis. Conduct high‑quality, consultative conversations with candidates, qualifying their suitability for current or future roles. Support candidates throughout the recruitment process, keeping them updated, talent‑pooling, and maintaining lasting relationships for future hiring needs. Present candidates to clients accurately and compellingly, ensuring diversity and bias‑free selection decisions. Track progress, data and performance on all applicable systems. Skills & Requirements Ideal Candidate Profile We are seeking a highly proactive and self‑driven sourcing professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, operates independently with minimal supervision, manages priorities, builds talent pipelines, and delivers qualified talent to Hiring Managers efficiently. Core Requirements Strong experience in proactive sourcing and talent mapping. Advanced Boolean search capabilities and market research skills. Proven ability to identify and engage passive candidates. Experience utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing platforms effectively. Pipeline Management Ability to build, maintain, and nurture talent pipelines. Strong understanding of candidate relationship management. Experience managing multiple pipelines simultaneously and keeping candidates warm for future opportunities. Stakeholder Partnership Ability to present approximately 15–20 qualified candidates per week to hiring managers. Strong communication and partnership skills with hiring managers and recruitment teams. Ability to understand business needs and translate them into sourcing strategies. Working Style Highly proactive and able to work independently. Comfortable taking ownership and driving results with limited direction. Demonstrates urgency and accountability. Strong organizational and prioritization skills. Environment Thrives in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment. Able to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities. Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs. Preferred Experience Experience supporting Life Sciences, Clinical, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, or Corporate functions. Experience working in an RPO or enterprise talent acquisition environment. Familiarity with ATS and CRM systems. Data‑driven mindset with strong attention to sourcing metrics and pipeline health.
