Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Board Certified Behavior AnalystPosition Summary: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The BCBA will have responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, proposing IEP goals and objectives related to behavior, conducting functional behavioral assessments, developing and implementing behavior intervention plans, training staff and providing proactive and reactive support to students in crisis.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Develop in-district programming in partnership with the Director of Student ServicesBuild staff capacity through training, modeling, and monitoring of student data and outcomesProvide consultation to district staff regarding student intervention and instructionStreamline the data collection process, train staff on data collection, and monitor the collection of data, which includes graphing progressDevelop behavioral goals to monitor treatmentAttend all relevant meetings and present data and progress reportsTrain classroom and support staff on all aspects of behavior intervention plansConduct on-site observations of implementations, competency reviews of staff, and treatment integrity checks to assess plan implementation and guide staff trainingProvide skills-based training to district staff on behavior analytic topics to be determined with the administrative teamAssist with planning and oversight of the development and implementation of programs, policies, and best practices related to instruction based on principles of applied behavior analysis and current researchCo-author and review behavior goals and objectives for IEPs to ensure appropriateness and adherence to best practice standardsConduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA)Write comprehensive, individualized behavior intervention plans based that incorporate reinforcement systems, alternative replacement behaviors, reactive strategies, etc.Monitor school-based restraint and seclusion dataOther duties as assigned by the Director of Pupil ServicesBasic & Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift up to 50 poundsMust be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing) for extended periods of timeMust be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of timeOnce certified, must be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport and utilize safety sare proceduresRequirements:Must hold a Master's Degree and current BCBA/LBA CertificationMust pass federal and local background checksSalary and Benefits: Salary commensurate with experience. Medical Coverage, Life Insurance, PTO is the same as provided to the Teacher's Bargaining Agreement.
