Exciting Opportunity for Med/Surg RN at Skyline Medical Center!

Job Description:


- Shift: 19:00-07:00
- Location: Nashville, TN
- Unit Name: 3rd, Neuro Med/Surg
- Number of Beds: 20
- Patient Ratios: 6:1
- Unit Staffing:
- Tech support available on both day and night shifts
- Unit secretary on-site from 7a to 7p


- Equipment You'll Use:
- IV Pumps
- Telemetry
- SCDs
- Continuous Pulse Oximetry Machines
- Feeding Pumps
- PCA
- EKG Machines
- Bladder Scanner
- iMobile communication technology


- Documentation System: Meditech


- Scheduling Requirements:
- 3 shifts of 12 hours per week
- 2 weekends (4 shifts) in a 4-week schedule


- Floating Policy:
- Contract labor is the first to float
- Rotation applies when multiple contract labor staff are scheduled


- Patient Experience Expectations:
- Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members
- Conduct bedside shift reports
- Build personal connections with patients and involve them and their families in the plan of care


- Hospital Certifications:
- Comprehensive Stroke
- ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center
- Certified Chest Pain Center


- Requested Skill Set:
- Med/Surg experience
- Ability to prioritize care and multitask
- IV start capability
- Basic wound care
- Maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes


- Qualifications Required:
- Active RN License
- BLS Certification


- Advanced Skills Needed: N/A


- Procedures Performed on Unit: N/A


- Dress Code:
- Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms)
